Amie Wish Trip - Tuesday 1-5-2010

Tuesday was our Character Breakfast at one of the resort restaurants on the Epcot property. Our Breakfast was for 9:15. The characters that day were Donald, Minnie & Goofy.

I didn't notice til I was loading the pictures these next two - I don't know what Amie was doing but her eyes were darting back and forth......

After the character breakfast - the plan was that Janet & Kylee would go to Epcot & we would go to Animal Kingdom. But Amie was so crabby - that instead we went back for an early nap! And she fell asleep pretty quickly!

After nap - we headed to Animal Kingdom. The tree at the front of the park was all of animals - thought that Betty would like to see a picture of that!

We had a late lunch - but Amie was still pretty crabby! (Yes I know she looks innocent in the picture....trust me!!)

Dad bought her a pair of Stitch gloves

We made our way back to the safari ride - the one thing that I really wanted to try to get to. We also thought that Amie would enjoy it - because she was being pretty cranky & demanding this day!

Due to weather & crabbiness ---- we never did make it to Gatorland....so these were the only alligators Amie got to see. It was cold and they were pretty much motionless...

Had to take a picture of this.....do you know what it is? It's a termite mound!! And we thought our termites had made some big tunnels in our house in Foosland..........!!

Ostrich eggs

After the safari ride - we left Animal Kingdom. We picked Janet and Kylee up & headed back to the GKTW Village. I felt bad that we had basically wasted an entire days ticket on less then an hour. But it was obvious to us that Amie was not going to be able to do much more then an hour or two at a time!
.
When we got back to the village we had Amie do her STAR ceremony!! This is such an awesome thing. She was given a glass cut star. She was to write her name on it. Unfortunately - she wasn't in a neat type of a mood & just scribbled on it. I wrote her name to the side of her scribble - but it was her "signature" - so that's all that matters!

After signing their star - the kids then take it to the Star Fairy. There is a little ceremony and at the end the star fairy tells them they will find a special place for their star & give them a "passport" with the information the following day.

Here are many of the stars that have already been placed on the ceiling!

Then the girls got to "make" a pillow!

After a hard afternoon of signing a star & making pillows....the girls needed a turn at the SPA!

After the spa it was time for dinner....we decided to go to "The Melting Pot" --- highly recommended!! It's a Fondue Restaurant!! YUMMMMMMMM!!

The best part!!! The desert Fondue!!! Bring it ON!!
