Entitlement..

In clinical psychology and psychiatry, an unrealistic, exaggerated, or rigidly held sense of entitlement may be considered a symptom of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder: This disorder consists primarily of an inflated sense of self-importance coupled with a lack of empathy for others. Individuals with this disorder display an exaggerated sense of their own importance and abilities and tend to fantasize about them. Such persons also have a sense of entitlement, expecting (and taking for granted) special treatment and concessions from others. Paradoxically, individuals with narcissistic personality disorder are generally very insecure and suffer from low self-esteem.
.
Very interesting.....
.
"I deserve" "I want" "I should have" "I'm right" "Everyone else is wrong" "I set my priorities ahead of everyone elses." "I have an inflated sense of the truth (or non-truth)" And "I never think anyone else knows anything --- I am the only one that knows anything."
.
Let's say there is a pie that is made & let's say there are 5 people that are at the table to eat that pie. Should the pie be divided equally into 5 pieces? What if one of the pieces has a big cherry and the other 4 have smaller cherries?
.
Who the CRAP cares - be glad you're getting a piece of pie for crying out loud!! Stop bitching and be grateful for once in your life!!

Amie's first t-ball game

So here is Amie's first time up to bat at her first t-ball game!

It is so darn cute! She politely hands her coach the bat, after of course watching where the ball goes and who is going after it.

The other things to notice....she skips part way to first base - and has to check out what the other kids are doing in the "dug out"!

The beauty of youth! If only everything could stay so carefree!

Water fun!

These two short videos are actually from last May (2009) - but they are so darn cute!

Hopefully, if these loaded in the correct order, you will see Miss Amie running through Miller Lake (aka our back yard after a big rain).

The second video was me calling her up to talk about how wet she was, but little did I know she had a little surprise for me!!

Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Saturday June 19th - Pie an associate for charity!

Christopher "won" one of the spots to be pied for charity today!!
.
We got there after the pieing had already started!

Here's the first associate that had been pied!

Ok - this just looks wrong! But what it actually is - another associate that decided to scrape up more pie stuff off the floor before throwing it at Chris. But Chris decided to put some pie stuff on the back of his head too!

Oh that's some good smearing!

Amie's turn!!

But the second one - she's not so sure she wants to participate!

Oh Christopher - you are a MESS!!

What a good sport!!

First T-ball Game!

Amie has learned that Christian (blue hat) is a silly boy. And that is the type of play mate she clings to...the sillier the better!
.
So - needless to say - Christian's Mom & I did a lot of talking to these two during the game! Right now - it's practice time!

That's Christian's Mom in the purple shirt.

Notice the amazing attention that all three of these red team mates are showing!! :)

And here we have a t-ball - tackle style (not really - but everyone runs for the ball & fights over it - so what should we call it?? At least it's not like the tackle t-ball practice that we've seen! You know - dog piling on top of the ball!!)

Up to bat the second time (first time I video'd it - we'll have to see if I can figure out how to load that!!)

Great Job Amie!! Now run!! Run!!!

Hey - there my mom!!

And then the next trick starts - don't you know you're supposed to do head-stands on base??

Time to head to second base!

And so - time to do a head stand again......

Oh Amie Darling.......I have a feeling you are going to make your own rules with no matter what you do in life!!
.
The joys of childhood!!
