Amie's first soccer game!

Kids games are much different in the 'burg then they were down in Gibson when the boys were little. The one thing I really don't like is that there is no specific color for a team. Each team has to purchase both a blue and a red shirt. If you are the home team for the week - you wear red. If you are the visitor for the week, you wear blue -- dislike! Oh well....what ya gonna do!
.
So - first Saturday game - Amie's team (OSF St. Mary) was wearing red. It was to be a double header.....Amie didn't make it even through the first game, so we didn't stay for the second game.
.
But there were some mighty adorable times!! Herd Ball 2010 is officially underway!!
Coach is giving instructions!

Amie is consulting with a team mate...

But was she listening??

Why yes she was!! "We want the ball to go that way"

Giving Coach all her attention now!

Herding may commence NOW!!

She did pretty good for the first half of the game. Then she got distracted by the dirt in the goaly box.....here coach removed her.....

But that didn't keep her away!

Then we saw a change. She came over and sat for a few minutes, then went back on the field, but just kept looking back at us.....that's when Aunt Janet reminded me - that Amie needed to set her own level of participation!! So....that pretty much wrapped up the game time for her. She didn't even really want to get up to shake hands at the end of the game. But she did & then we packed up and headed home for a nap!

After nap - someone was full of energy again & ready for fun! She had a great time bouncing on her trampoline & helping sweep the tree stuff off of her beloved trampoline!

STATIC!!!

Week of the Young Child - Hat Day!!

We completely forgot about the Mickey Mouse ears - until I saw another child wearing a set on the bus.....we just had a plain ole' girly hat with princesses on it!

Week of the Young Child is always a lot of fun - now she's looking forward to water day in a few weeks!!!

Week of the Young Child - Pajama Day!!

Wouldn't we all love to have a pajama day??!!
.
Thursday was pajama day - but I had a hard time getting a good picture......because she had just discovered that Tiger popped her new spiderman ball!!
Bad Tiger!!!

How the Wednesday-Bad Day Ended....

Soooooooooooooo - where last we left things.....our fearless leader was having a bad day. But so far - the day had only cost him $400 for a saddle bag and $67 for a tire & having to reschedule his appointment for his truck bedliner......how much worse could it get??
.
Well - a certain little girl didn't take a nap & destroyed her bed instead......which just leaves her as a less then behaving young lady!
.
But - we got her ready for swimming & playing.......we'll switch to those images first. She wanted me to see that she is a big enough girl that she can now open Daddy's truck door all by herself!!

Ready to start swimming!

She did ok at swimming - probably because Dad was there......when she doesn't take her nap she has a very hard time staying tuned into what she is supposed to be doing.....very distractable!!
.
So - we let her play on the play ground for a bit after swimming.
After playing for a bit - we all headed home. Darwin dropped Amie and I off & he said he was going to go wash his truck and gas it up!!
.
He came home about a half an hour later - and I thought he was joking.....but he wasn't!! He ended his day by side swipping the mechanics of the carwash!!! So - his new truck had scratches all down the drivers side of the truck!!
.
The next day he found out that the co-pay was $500 & the insurance would pay the other $1200ish!!!
.
OUCH - not a good day at all!!
