Happy Birthday Kylee!!

I'm a few weeks late getting these pictures posted - but our Miss Kylee turned 11 in September!!
.
She planned a slumber party with a few girls, but first some fun and cake with family and a few friends.
.
Jumping on the trampoline is lots of fun!!

Or the club house!

Time for a little quiet time

Bunches of girls......Bunches of smiles and giggles!

Kylee picked a psychedelic - tie-dyed kind of a look for her cake!! (I didn't tell her that was the style that was really "hip" when I was a kid!! :)

It was such a gorgeous night out - we tried to do the candles outside...

Didn't work real well...the beautiful breeze - was a bit too much for the candles!

Alright - are you ready Miss Kylee??

I think you are!!!

So the candles all got blown out & Mom starts cutting the cake and distributing it. What no one realized....Miss Kylee and her BFF had devised a plan......

Since nobody caught it - they re-enacted it again for the camera!

Now it's Matelyn's turn to have her face in cake!

Time to open up presents!

Aunt T pulled a fast one - she wrapped up lots of nonsensical items from her home....clothes pen, empty pop bottle, old cowboy hat.....well you can take a look for yourself!

The hat was a HUGE hit!!

After presents - the kids went out to the tent that they had planned on sleeping in later in the night & had a grand time playing in it. Since it was pitch dark out by this time - the camera light was the only thing that let us see the craziness going on!!

LOL!! They had a great time! I hear there wasn't a ton of sleep that occurred that night - but I am positive there were many many great memories that were formed forever!!
.
Happy Birthday Miss Kylee!!

"Amie wear blue Cinderella dress"

Having raised only boys prior to our fantastic Amie entered our lives.....I was not always prepared for some of the interesting things that happen raising a daughter!
.
One of Amie's current obsessions is about her wedding (really - at age 5 she's already talking about her wedding!?!).
.
It goes something like this.
.
"Boys love Amie"
.
That's nice Amie.
.
"Boys marry Amie"
.
Ummmm - yes someday ONE boy will marry Amie.
.
"One boy?"
.
Yes you can only marry one boy.
.
with a fuss in her voice. "Mine boys love me." "Mine boys marry me"
.
Yes Amie, ONE boy will marry you....SOMEDAY.
.
"Darry marry me"
.
Now I get it - she is referring to her cousins Darrien and Reese - whom see loves to call "mine boys"
.
No Amie - Darrien is your cousin - you can't marry him.
.
Full out crying occurs!!
.
So - now we are at the second rendition of the above scenario. It starts out with the boys love me, boys marry me & occassionally we get into the Darrien marry me part....but the latest...
.
"Amie wear blue Cinderella dress"
.
That's nice Amie.
.
"Amie spin around & boys say 'beauty'"
Oh my gosh - where on earth is this coming from??

Darwin gets Lasik!

Well Blogger is not behaving again....this picture should be at the end - so you'll just have to bear with the out of order stuff!!
.
This is what Darwin looks like drugged up, goggles on and ready to leave!

Within a few moments of taking Darwin back to start the procedure, a nursing assistant came and asked if I'd like to watch!! "Really?" No question I'd LOVE to watch!!!!!

I got to see them clamp the eye open, put drops in it, put different things in it, then slice the "flap" open, do more things to it & then reseal the flap!! I'm telling you it was AWESOME!!! See for your self!!

Now we just have to see if it was worth the money!!
