Not sure if the camera settings weren't correct, but I set it up as a sports setting....but it left me many blurred pictures....but there are some that are very interesting! This first one Kylee is less blurry then anything else around her....maybe I planned it that way :)

Fun Food Friday...A new tradition!

Fun Food Friday! Our first month was October - the Friday before Halloween! It was great!

Sisters Mission

We donated some gently used equipment to the sisters mission project last week. A c-arm, processor, CAD checker, film printer, CD burner....all on their way to a country of the Sister's choosing (most likely Haiti)!

I am soooo glad to know that equipment that still works is going to find it's way to a country in need!

Amie has learned how to swing and she is completely in love with swinging!!

Parent Teacher Conference

Amie's poor teacher got really sick with that dreaded belly bug that is going around & had to cancel our PTC. But, I'm actually glad that happened, because we had our conference by email instead & I have her exact words that I can save forever and ever now! :)

I think Amie is doing so well. I am excited how she is fitting into the classroom setting and is holding her own. Just in this first quarter I see a definite growth in her personally and socially as well as academically. She is shining right out of her shell and loves to get in the middle of things and almost take control. She has a strong will and when she has her mind made up to the way something should be then she is determined to make it that way the best she can. She has fantastic leadership qualities in that way. She does not accept defeat. She picks right back up and tries again. That is a real gift that God has given her and it is a blessing to me as her teacher. As I see her with her classmates she is kind and patient. She is friends with all of them, and they all interact well with her. I don’t see any barriers. The only “problem” that I have with her social skills, is that sometimes they are not appropriate during class. If one other student begins to play or do something they are not suppose to be, Amie will often follow. We are working on understanding the choice that Amie always has – whether to do what the other student is doing or to do what the teacher wants Amie to do. She always knows the right answer, but we are working getting Amie to make that choice before I have to help her make that choice. I know, she is only 5 and playing is always so much more fun. J
