Tribute on Nancy Grace

The Caylee Anthony case got me hooked on the Nancy Grace show. Each night she does a tribute to a fallen soldier. I assumed that the tributes were done in order of deaths & never gave it any thought that it was a requested tribute. That was until I noticed an area soldier that had passed away several years ago.

So, I went to the website & submitted a question about whether they had ever done a tribute for Kyle Wehrly & if so, was there a clip that could be obtained. Well I guess it hadn't been done & that these tributes are done by request. With no notice - I received an email that said they were going to do his tribute the next night!!

Interestingly - they got some incorrect information on the tribute....but it was the same widely published mis-information!!

It's actually kind of comical that it has stayed! Also they probably had an old article & his rank is not correct, because of the post-humous rank to SFC.

Chuck E Cheese

About once a year we meet with two members of Amie's biological family. Her Great-Grandmother Javada & her Aunt Janett.
.
This year we met at Chuck E Cheese. Amie had never been there & we hadn't been to one since the boys were young! It was a very good place to meet! Amie had a fantastic time!
.
And isn't that cup just the cutest!!

This picture should actually be at the end - but it's hard to move the pictures on here. This was after quite a bit of play at Chuck E Cheese & this ball was bought by Janett with all the tickets she won in the games! Amie loves this blue ball & says, "Amie Chuck Cheese Blue Ball" every time she sees it and plays with it at home!

This is Javada. I didn't get any pictures of Janett this time.

Amie loved this climbing thing!

Daddy gonna get her!

Riding a horse!

She really enjoyed playing on this telephone game!

She spotted Chuck E Cheese walking around talking to kids - she kept her distance!

Back up in the jungle gym!

I wound my way into the bottom of the slide to snap these pictures as she was coming down! Not too bad!

The ornery was shinning brightly this day! She was playing peek a boo & "got your nose" with Daddy! But she's a little rough!!

I definitely think we'll be making a return trip to Chuck E Cheese!

Happy 10th Birthday Kylee!

Hard to believe but Miss Kylee turned 10 on the 17th of September!!
.
10 years ago on that day - I remember our little Kylee joining the family! And as I told her......got a speeding ticket when I raced back to Gibson to go on call!! A memory that will always be linked the joy of meeting Miss Kylee for the first time!

Kylee wanted a pogo stick for her birthday!
.
Then she did her "big cousin" role & tried to teach Amie how to jump on the pogo stick!

Where does time go? It doesn't seem possible that she's 10 years old!!??!!

"Amie Castle"

Amie was having a grand time building her "castle" the other night!

She took it very serious!! I enjoyed talking with her and helping her build it as tall as she could!

Spirit Day at work!

2009 is the 100th anniversary for the hospital I work at. And I'm on the 100th anniversary planning committee. We've had quite a busy year - speakers, authors, bishop, sisters, picnics, games, raffles, and theme days.
.
September is the kick off for an all time favorite....football!! So - we had a football theme day!
.
Here are the imaging employees that were able to get outside for a quick picture.

Acting all tough.....except John.....not sure what that look is?? :)

And here's a hospital group photo - it's really hard to get the majority of employees outside for a photo!!

Thankfully - the Bears far outnumbered any "other" teams!!!
.
:)

Reese turns 5

Happy Birthday for Mr. Reese - he had a bunch of his school friends over at his Grandma & Grandpa's house for a party!
.
There was a ton of activity!! Here is Reese with one of his school friends!
.
Darrien showed us how goofy he could be on the swing!

This was really cute - Reese (also known as "Mine Boy") was pushing Amie on the swing!

Tab had gotten Reese a Spiderman pinata - it was a HUGE hit!

I'm only posting pictures of Amie - Darrien and Reese hitting the pinata - with some candy falling out!! You'll have to look close - but all three of them gave it a hard enough wack to send some treats flying!
.

Time to come inside and have cake!

A Happy Spiderman Birthday for Reese!

Blow out your candles Reese!
