Just one good smile???

Picture day came and went this week.....before school I thought it would be a good idea to try to get one good picture of her before she tomboyed it up at school & had messy hair....

Well - as is Amie's habit - things happen on Amie's terms.....wouldn't expect it any other way!! :)

So - she never gave us a really great smile......but she gave us the true Amie with her little crooked smile & mischief in her eyes!!

Get Motivated

Went to a seminar called "Get Motivated" that listed tons of motivational speakers. And some of the speakers were pretty darn good!

.

I completely enjoyed Colin Powell!! He was incredible!

Terry Bradshaw was pretty good too!

Some speakers were disappointment - but the worst was that this was a infomercial dressed up like a motivational seminar. Needless to say - I didn't buy any of it, "For only $99 right now, because you're here, you can get this incredible offer.....blah blah blah"

Sun Glass shopping...

So last week - the day before Darwin had his eye surgery - Amie had the day off & so did Darwin.

He decided to go sun glass shopping....at the Harley store!

.

They both wound up with sun glasses & Amie got her first tattoo!!

.

I'm hoping this is the only tattoo that she wants to get!! :)

Halloween Decorations

Amie and I saw a cute decoration in the gift shop at St. Francis a few weeks ago!

This is the only type of spider I can tolerate!

Happy Birthday Kylee!!

I'm a few weeks late getting these pictures posted - but our Miss Kylee turned 11 in September!!

She planned a slumber party with a few girls, but first some fun and cake with family and a few friends.

Jumping on the trampoline is lots of fun!!

Time for a little quiet time

Bunches of girls......Bunches of smiles and giggles!

Kylee picked a psychedelic - tie-dyed kind of a look for her cake!! (I didn't tell her that was the style that was really "hip" when I was a kid!! :)

It was such a gorgeous night out - we tried to do the candles outside...

Didn't work real well...the beautiful breeze - was a bit too much for the candles!

Alright - are you ready Miss Kylee??

I think you are!!!

So the candles all got blown out & Mom starts cutting the cake and distributing it. What no one realized....Miss Kylee and her BFF had devised a plan......

Since nobody caught it - they re-enacted it again for the camera!

Now it's Matelyn's turn to have her face in cake!

Time to open up presents!

Aunt T pulled a fast one - she wrapped up lots of nonsensical items from her home....clothes pen, empty pop bottle, old cowboy hat.....well you can take a look for yourself!

The hat was a HUGE hit!!

After presents - the kids went out to the tent that they had planned on sleeping in later in the night & had a grand time playing in it. Since it was pitch dark out by this time - the camera light was the only thing that let us see the craziness going on!!

LOL!! They had a great time! I hear there wasn't a ton of sleep that occurred that night - but I am positive there were many many great memories that were formed forever!!
