Fun in the Fall

Two weekends ago, the weather was gorgeous! Darwin and Amie had been outside "racking" leaves. I went out & Darwin was saying, "I don't know what happened to Amie, she disappeared".......take a closer look!!

She was having a BLAST playing in the leaves!!

Isn't it amazing that with all of the toys she has, she had more fun playing on a stump & romping in leaves!!!

Comedy Night at the Orpheum

Saturday Night Fun!

It's been a LONG time since we've gone to a comedian or such!

Last night, we saw a really funny comedian here in the "Burg"!

Tim Bedore is known for his "animal conspiracy" tales. He has pictures & videos of animals doing things that make you go "hmmmm". None of my pictures turned out very good during the show, but then again -- I probably wasn't supposed to take pictures!!

This is an authentic picture taken by a photo journalist in Florida where an alligator was trying to get into a house -- hmm, so that's what an alligator looks like (SHHHHH)

Not such a great picture -- but there is Tim Bedore on stage at the Orpheum. I remember going to the Orpheum as a child to see movies!!

This was the warm up comedian - Chris Spreyer. He was funny, but not quite as good as Tim. Funny though -- the two comedians were Chris & Tim....things that make you go hmmmm.

Notice the gorgeous architecture of the building. I remember sitting in the balcony with my father when we saw Herbie the Love Bug (the first one). My parents were either going through their divorce, or had just gone through their divorce -- that was one of the best memories of that time & it was here in the Orpheum!

I've fretted about how I would write this blog -- my heart is heavy because I know that I probably will not see Alexandra or her brother for quite a while. My brother is a stubborn person & like my father always thinks he's right. Unfortunately, the people that suffer the most are the kids.

So -- Happy Birthday Alex! Aunt Dawn, Uncle Darwin, Chris, Tim and Amie love you and hope you had a peaceful, joyful, blessed & happy birthday!!

Dear Kyle,

Dear Kyle,

Tomorrow it will be 3 years since you made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Not a day goes by that you are not thought about.

You would be so proud of Janet & Kylee! They are both strong women (even at age 9).

The day we were notified that you were gone, Kylee was upset, yet so quiet. She had been told that you were in heaven, but it wasn't real to her yet. She knew her Mom was sad & crying, as well as her grandma's and so many others.

Then the realization came that she was not going to see you again on this earth! She loved you so much & I know how much you loved her!

No matter who is in her life, there will always be a hole in her heart where you live. Her Mom, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins & Friends all help make sure that she has someone to talk to, to play with, to have fun with.

But most importantly, her Mom is always keeping your memory alive!! I know you know what an incredible family you have! And I know you already know that even though they miss you dearly & wish that it hadn't been you -- they are strong & will see you again some day in heaven.

And that you were able to see the experience in between the battles.

As a soldier you exceeded so many expectations.

Even though you gave your life for your country. I know that you would have given anything for this precious little girl.
