Happy Father's Day - With Watermelon style!

Happy Father's Day Darwin!!
.
Just a quiet day here at the Miller house - we did go out to Menards for a quick pricing on some privacy fence & front porch rails/columns. Our front porch definitely dates the house as a 70's house.
.
When we got home, it was time for lunch - I had bought a watermelon yesterday for lunch today. Darwin ate his watermelon with style........

Amie devoured it!!!

But I think she liked it!!
.
Happy Father's Day to all the men out there that are Fathers & Father substitutes!
.
I miss my Dad - wish he were still around, especially to be a part of Amie's life! Amie has no grandpa's, since Darwin's Dad is gone too! But she has a Mommy & Daddy, two Grandma's & lots of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that are there for her!

Happy 26th Anniversary T & Andy!

Twenty Six years ago today - my cousin-in-law became my brother-in-law & my sister became my cousin-in-law's wife.....I think.....

Happy Anniversary Tiara & Andy!

Here's a poster from their 25th anniversary with a few oldie but goodies!!

My how time has flown!

They even have another generation to love! Grandkids are special!

And their baby graduated high school this year!

Happy Anniversary to you both! Love you and will keep you as in-laws and out-laws or whatever laws you are!! :)

Never forget to appreciate the little things, because soon that's all that's left!

Little Blue Cast

Our little cast. She picked blue - I think she likes the color blue the best because of the way she pronounces it. Alot of emphasis on the tongue!! BLLLLUE!

Doing pretty good with it - she will go in on the 30th to have it removed in time for vacation!!

Amie's wrist

Here's our little buckle fracture of Amie's. Just a little "squishing" of the bone - typically occuring exactly as it did with her....falling from somewhere & extending your hand out to catch yourself. She's also got a heck of a bruise across her outer thigh on the same side!

Tomorrow morning is D-day. Not sure if I want them to cast or not. I want it casted to keep her from unsplinting it as she has continued to do - to protect it. But it would also be nice if it was just braced, that way she can begin to rehab it -- if we could trust her to leave it on.

And I'll also find out what the recommendation is for my foot.

Oh we sure know how to have fun in our family! Darwin had a broken tooth cut out today as well!!

Guess who else has now joined the broken bone club??

Only day two of her new day care/pre-school & she fell off the slide! She has a little buckle fracture of her wrist!

We are both scheduled to see the ortho on Thursday!

A farm, one person's journey of jealousy

Someone in my house is jealous of my farm......I won't mention who (cough - Darwin), but he is the "man" of the house (cough cough)!

Here I am; 'lil ole me - the first game I have gotten into since Mario whipped my behind in the original Mario Brothers. Now my boys on the other hand (all three of them....Darwin, Chris & Tim) have played, enjoyed and worn out every game known to man. But let me find something & what happens.....a little e spionage! A little terrorism! A little jealousy........

It started with some network problems (or so I thought). Getting kicked off the net & getting kicked off of farmtown! Darwin assured me he would move the wireless - that should help.....

Then other things started happening, my crops were getting harvested while I was away. Things on my farm were moved. My scarecrow kept jumping around. Sometimes in the middle of where my crops were at! I almost deleted the scarecrow - thinking there must have been something wrong with it!

Then - it got odder, in the middle of other crops - I had new crops?? And then yesterday morning - all my trees were harvested & there was a silo on my property?? A silo - I hadn't bought a silo. Had someone hacked into my account and done that? Or was there a glitch in the program, someone else had bought it, but it landed on my property? Or was dementia setting in? All valid possibilities!

Then today - while I was babysitting for my mother-in-law.......somehow someone SPENT $40,000 & bought a windmill!!! I KNEW I hadn't done that!! It had to be Darwin - he had been left unattended (Yes I know that is a dangerous thing to do)!! And Amie didn't keep an eye on him - no she went and took a nap! And so there he was unattended, with time on his hand & my money to spend!!

That's what finally made me realize that it wasn't me! It was him! He fessed up to it -- but he tried to throw his oldest son under the bus! Not so fast mister....I'm on to you now! I have saved my farm - changed the password & it should be ok to leave my crops and money alone for a little while without worrying that someone will break in, harvest & buy stuff that I don't want (not yet anyway) - you would think he could have at least bought me a pool or something! Gees!!

So there it is - my pride and joy -- kind of a strange set of paths and rows - but now I know why! It wasn't that farmtown was scrambling things every time I logged off -- it was my saboteur!!

So.....who's with me?? Mr. Darwin has gotten the best of many of us over the years! It's our turn everyone! Who's in?? Come on - he doesn't get revenge.....too much!! Send me some ideas - we've got to get even! Me and my little avatar are ready.........

A Pie in the Face - for Charity of Course!

Today was the day! Fund raiser for Wal-mart for the Children's Miracle Network.

Over the past couple of weeks, the associates at Wal-mart "voted" with donations into which ever associates bucket they would like to see get "pie'd" for charity!

Christopher's bucket got a little extra attention one day while he was not there & he wound up being one of two associates that were "volunteered" to be pied!!

Chris was second up, his first job was to make pies for the first person (Ray) to get pie'd with. But someone took advantage of Chris not paying attention - and he got it in the face with his glasses on!

Back to work!

Tim was doing a good job of supervising!

Chris's turn!! He's so excited!! Can't you tell!!

First up to pie Chris was a co-worker. The anticipation is more than Chris could take! Little did he know - he wasn't getting it to the face - this co-worker did not like the Bears!!

It didn't take long for Chris to be completely covered in pie!

Darwin got into it WAY too much! Just look at Darwin's face as he smeared, and rubbed & creamed that pie all over Chris!!

Tim enjoyed a couple of pie throwing events as well!

Amie wanted nothing to do with it! She kept saying - "NO Chris all dirty"!!

Here's Ray (the first pie'd associate) - he wanted a bit of the Chris action as well!

I caught you Chris!! It wasn't all bad was it??!!

Richard had to get a couple of shots in too!

Let's just add a little more on the top!

Chris's new friend Tiffany definitely wanted to give Chris a pie or two!!

Awwwhhhh.....There's my babies pretty eyes! With frosting on top!!

Amie finally got into the mode to do a pie in Chris's face!!

And of course - I needed to get a little bit in the action!!

And finally Amie was brave enough to throw the pie herself - the pie is in mid-throw right above her head! It landed on his shoulder - so she didn't do too bad!!
