Christmas Eve at Grandma Miller's

Christmas Eve has always been the celebration day for Grandma Miller's.
.
Here is the cute Reindeer that Grandma made this year!

Amie started right in getting the Santa's singing and dancing! Chris had threatened to bring the nerf gun and go target shooting!!! I was in agreement - we agreed to turn them all off instead!

We're Dreaming of a White Christmas...........and we definitely got it this year!

Time for Christmas Tree picture & then let's pass out the presents!

Richard looks ready!

Tim is definitely ready!

Oh Boy - the highlight of the night was a Whoopie Cushion that Grandma got for Amie!
.
Here she's trying to set it off on Chris's lap!

Then she sits on it on Grandma's lap! Amie LOVES the reaction she got from Grandma!!

Trying to blow it up for the next round!

Trying to convince Grandma to sit on it! I love how she explains things with her expressions!

Dea in her new pajamas.

The neighbors house looks like a Christmas Card.....but couldn't get my camera setting exactly as I wanted.

Time to come home, got Amie ready for bed & then got the cookies and milk set out. I tried a few different settings on my camera & kind of like the way these look.

I especially like the way the milk, cookies & tree looks in this picture!

Time to go to bed and see if Santa eats his cookies and drinks his milk!

The Eve before Christmas Eve

Miss Kylee came over & Christopher wanted to give her and Amie the gift he had made for them!

Awwww!! How cute!!!

Cardiology day....started out AWESOME!

Monday December 20th Amie had her 6 month cardiology appointment. Since we've had the new cardiologist (two years - 4 appointments now) he has increasingly made me a bit nervous about her appointments. Each time he has shortened his window of how long we had on this valve & then the last one he took her out of sports. Additionally - her pressure gradient has slowly gone up since she had the last surgery - so we know that some point the valve will need to be ballooned.
.
So - off we head to Peoria...a little apprehensive, but also curious and hopeful.
.
And she is doing so much better at not wiggling too much!

And of course - she is now queen of the "spider web" making with the EKG stickers!

So....cardiologist comes in and he says her echo hasn't changed!!! That is the best possible news for a heart like Amie's!!! He also said that he thought the valve has three leafs again (it has looked like two leafs and three leafs almost every other time). A three leaf valve has a longer longevity then a two leaf - so that is also good news!
.
And he said - "See ya in 6 months!" Again the best news we could hope for!!! :)
.
Then we got out to our car & guess what....a flat tire!!
.
Looked in the owners manual & we had 6 months left on the emergency road side assistance!!! Yahoo!!! I didn't have to get cold, wet and dirty!!
.
But they left me waiting for two hours!

We ended our "morning" (2pm now) with lunch at Olive Garden!

Even with the tire issue - a Grade A Day!!

Amie Love Snow

So she has claimed the snowman scarf for good!
.
She was having such a grand time - you see that ice block - she got that off of her trampoline! She is so funny!

Friday with my Girl!!

Friday 17th was Amie's Christmas party at school! The teacher asked for a few parental volunteers to help with the crafts and the gift exchange!! I was so THERE!!
.
When I got there, they had already started the first craft..a Christmas tree made out of the foamy stuff. I got to help the kids take the backing off of the stickers.

The second craft was a necklace with beads and bells!

Time to go have some pizza! Isn't this adorable!

Amie was the days line leader! So cute!

Tried to get a picture of her....but you know how she is....can't stand still longer then a nano second!

And of course loves to do the funny faces!

Getting the kids into a circle for the gift exchange!

Amie was giving Asa the gift she got him!

Abbi had Amie's name! She loved it!

What a nice way to spend a few hours!!
