Amie is growing by leaps and jumps! She is really enjoying her play set that her Daddy built (with some help -- thanks Aunt Janet, Aunt T, Uncle Andy, Adam, Mom, Chris & Brock!)
She started Pre-School this spring & WOW has she changed! She began wearing glasses, and her speech is getting better by the week! She really enjoyed all her "friends"! And is already missing going to school every day because of summer break!
She's had quite the year. She's undergoing intense speech therapy that includes electrical stimulation of the muscles of her neck & vocal cord -- but we've definitely seen improvements!! She may even be able to drink from something other than the bottle soon! And there's even a possibility that her liquids can be thinned to nectar thickness!!
Right now her newest issue is that her tonsils & adenoids have gotten enormous & she needs to have them removed! It was a shock to us, all of a sudden she began having ear infection after ear infection -- come to find out nothing is draining because of the tonsils & adenoids. Once we started thinking about it, we realized that she's snorting when she runs, or gets excited or upset & she won't blow her nose, even though she used to do it like a pro! So, right now, we're in the waiting period. She sees her cardiologist in a few weeks -- and is tentatively scheduled for surgery in August. But, if she gets another ear infection -- we are going to work on getting the surgery moved up!
Other than that -- everything else is just status quo! Chris is still working at Walmart. Tim is still working at Bridgeway. Darwin is still at the University & I'm still at the hospital.

Love it Dawn! You said you'd post once a month...it's addicting though and I LOVE updates...so this will be fun to see how often you post! Aimee is a DOLL...but I'm sure everyone tells you that! Good to hear from ya!
