Aunt Sue

Uncle Tom

Aunt Sue and Uncle Tom drove down to visit & do some painting at Betty's house. Amie also wanted to help out......green paint on her black shirt.....oh well - it would probably be too small by next winter anyway!

March 19th - Max the Moose came to visit us

Max the Moose came to visit - oh and he brought along his humans!! Did I say Moose!! This boy has gotten enormous!! But is still quite the puppy!!

After a few minutes - the girls retired to the sunroom to enjoy some coloring - funny thing.....Kylee went for the real deal & Amie went for her Leap Frog. She just got it at Christmas and the only game she will play is the Nemo coloring one!!

I tried to be a little artsie with the flowers and the girls - they didn't turn out as I had hoped, but interesting none the less!

I'll have to get a few pictures together on one blog of Max over the months!!

Rewind....March 9th - Amie's field trip

Amie's class took a field trip to the Galesburg Airport (bet some of ya didn't even know Galesburg still had an airport.......Darwin flew out of there when he left for Germany believe it or not!!)
.
I was lucky enough to have an hour and a half to spare that morning and was able to meet them out there!

A few of the kids were given the duty to be reporters that day. They had a list of airplanes they thought they might see & had to check them off if they saw them!

So far so good...

I have no idea what Amie thought was so interesting - the opposite direction as the rest of the class...

The kids got to climb into one of them!

Couple of guys comparing notes on what they saw!

I don't think the floor drain was part of the intended tour.....but it was pretty fasinating stuff for the majority of them!

Ohhhhh!! Ahhhhhhhh!!

Here's where I'd like to point something out....but it's just between us right....!!?? Ok - so for months I hear, "Ism love Amie"! I didn't even know what she was saying at first - because I kept trying to guess what name she was saying, but continued to get it wrong. It was finally when the valentine list came home that I figured out "who" loves Amie!!
.
Ok - so here's the top secret part.....see the little boy that Miss Leary is trying to corral back in line...yes that would be Mr. Ism! It seems that my daughter has the likes for the class bad boy!! Not bad boy in a bad way - but as in I can see him being a challenge to authority as he gets bigger....is this what our future is looking like?? I can see it now - Amie will wind up with the piercings and tattoos & bring home the biker chained up guys.....Oh this is not looking good!!!
Over all though the kids did well & had lots of terrific questions!!
After the field trip they took some time to review the reporters notes & talk about what they had seen!

Of course - check out my lady-like daughter!! Oh My!! And Ism - he's the little cheeser all the way to the right!

Oh boy!! The next 10-15 years are going to be quite the interesting ride isn't it!

March 22nd, 2010 -- A big day for a little girl!!

So Today Amie turned 5!! We did most of our celebrating before today...but I told a few people I'd get today's pictures up - so we'll be a little backwards again.....So - how did our little Miss spend her birthday...
.
First we met Grandma for breakfast....nothing fancy, just McDonald's!!
Then I took her and her cupcakes to school.....yes that crown is 24 individual cupcakes!! Really cute isn't it!!

After checking out her cupcakes - she went over to check out her morning chart. Find out what her work was for the day & check-in to class!

After school - she napped and played outside...then after dinner it was time for the hospital Easter skating party!!
.
She was already way braver then she was last year (plus we had her skates tightened completely down!)
.
Catch me if you can Kylee!

Aunt Janet waiting for the girls!

Hamming it up - I didn't get out there in time to get a picture of Kylee with the Easter Bunny!

Even though she was doing really good skating by herself (remember skates completely locked down - but she didn't know that)!! She also had a lot of interactive time holding Mommy's hand, holding Aunt Janet's hand and holding Kylee's hand!! Sniff Sniff!! I love it when she's sweet and cuddly-like!!

Cheese!!

OOpppsss!

Madison and Kaylee Allen arrived & I caught a couple of pictures of them. It was really cute - Madison went Vroooming off!!

Kaylee stayed with her Dad!

A few minutes after taking this picture of the three of them together ahead of us - Kaylee fell down and hurt her wrist!! Kaylee and her Dad sat out for a while & Madison joined us skating. It was really cute!
.
Madison and Amie getting to know each other.

Time for the Hokie - Pokie!!

And turn yourself around!

This was priceless!!! It was time for the Chicken Dance!!!!

Kaylee's wrist was still hurting so her Dad took her home. I just learned that she had and x-ray and it was read negative!! Glad to hear it!! Hope your arm is feeling better soon Kaylee!! And the girls are going to have to get together again some time!!
.
This was a cute moment I tried to catch a couple of times - this one turned out! A few times Amie was skating on her own - she saw Aunt Janet and went running with arm stretched out to catch up with her!! Awwwwww - sweet moments!! You can't get too many of those!!

So the night is over - I think I'm going to be feeling this in the morning!! Thanks SMMC HR for the great skating party!!

And Thank You Dr. Ayers for being such a great sport every year!! ;) The Easter Bunny appreciates it!!!
