We had a feeling that this was going to be a difficult vacation for Tim. We were going to be driving for 3 days going out, then at least 3-4 days coming back, with lots of driving in between.
He did pretty good to begin with - but by Monday, the grumpies were beginning to show. He had a little meltdown about a chair on Monday night. So we explained to Tim that the next three days were probably mostly site seeing and driving - he opted to stay at the condo.
This seemed to help, our next meltdown didn't come until our trip home.
I know that Tim wants to go on vacations, but he doesn't seem to enjoy them very much. The thing he seems to like the most is eating out. So, I'm thinking that next year, we may have something set up where he can stay home & eat out a few times during the week. Maybe that will satisfy his vacation desires - without over stressing him & the rest of us.....we'll see!
