We had breakfast that morning, then hit the road. We had to stop at a K-mart for some supplies and then we decided to "Ride the Ducks"!! We've gone on several of the Duck rides in several cities - they are always a lot of fun!
The boys and Darwin & I had been on the Seattle one years earlier.
Of course - you always have to get a new quacker when you go on the ducks.
While we were on the duck (which is an amphibious vehicle) - we went over a bridge that gave us a view of the harbor we would go into on the second part of the trip.
It was a very gray over cast day - but you can still make out the Olympic Mountains in the back ground.
About half way into the trip, our driver changed his hat from a captain hat to a viking hat. Amie did not like it at all. She said, "Monster." "Monster my room?" I think she was referring to the Monsters Inc movie - but we assured her that the captain was not a monster & he would not come into her room!
Time to enter the water!
With a nice little splash! And we're in the water!
I don't think Amie can figure out how we are now in the water.
Another view of the sky line while we were on the water.
After our duck trip we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Seattle. That was a restaurant I had gone to when my Aunt was alive with her. It brought back some nice memories! And Amie enjoyed the little dining car that sits in the middle of the restaurant.
We basically ran out of time, so we were not able to go to Pikes Market & throw around some fish....and we couldn't find a parking space to go to the Harley shop.....so, that pretty much ended our day in Seattle & back north we drove!
